FFAC supports emerging designers and artists of limited means nurture their talents by facilitating apprenticeship programs with other designers and artists within our local community as well as raise awareness and funds for other community charities that otherwise would not have a platform to do so through fashion.
While giving back to the community, these artists are able to showcase their art to professional members of the industry and build professional portfolios of work that facilitate their introduction to the fashion market and job possibilities within the industry.
FFAC’s goal is to secure a location where the organization can continue to facilitate fashion and art apprenticeship programs; begin offering workshops where training can be provided to teach at-risk men and women with barriers to employment an industry related trade; and offer work space for emerging designers and artists in general. Ultimately, FFAC’s vision is to support and provide resources to students and local designers and artists so that they might one day be able to employ others and continue to grow our economy in South Florida while building a legacy in the fashion and art community.
In South Florida, a lot of talented diverse group of people, depends upon support from community members, corporate sponsorship and government initiatives, to achieve the dream to become successful in the difficult world of the fashion industry.
Fashion For A Cause Foundation has historically been a platform for emerging talents of different economic backgrounds in the fashion industry providing satellite locations to showcase their work. However, to live to true to our mission, it has become apparent that the time has come for us to have our own location, where more people could learn, develop and showcase under the same area.
In finding our own space, FFAC will be able to build a larger educational facility that can support the continued growth of talented population in fashion, while not compromising our commitment to constant support, training and exhibition.
To find a location that facilitate our mission and create the creative space need it to provide education, business platform and exhibition, FFAC intend to raise $500,000 over the next year.
With the support of community members, corporations and government entities, FFAC can grow into the next phase of our history and meet the needs of our emerging talented and creative community.
As part of our capital campaign, FFAC is partnered with Fashion Avenue Marketing, a private marketing company fashion oriented, who will produce the South Florida International Fashion Week to support directly the campaign by raising funds and awareness about our mission and needs.
